Event: LGBTI Suicide Prevention consultation
Research shows that LGBTIQ people and communities experience suicide at a higher rate with the rate of suicide attempts quoted as being between 3.5 to 14 times higher than the general population.
Have you or a loved one made a suicide attempt, or been bereaved by suicide? If you answered yes, ACON wants to hear from you.
ACON is partnering with the NSW Mental Health Commission to conduct a consultation on the lived experience of LGBTIQ people. We invite anyone who identifies as having a lived experience or has been touched by suicide within the LGBTIQ community to join us for this important discussion which will input into NSW’s Suicide Prevention Strategy.
