Inclusive practice guidelines for AOD treatment providers
While we know that most LGBTIQ people who use alcohol and other drugs do so in a nonproblematic way, some of us experience significant harm related to our use. For this reason, it is important that services are inclusive and safe for LGBTIQ people. ACON has developed LGBTIQ Inclusive Practice Guidelines for services that provide treatment for alcohol and other drugs.
The LGBTIQ inclusive practice guidelines aim to increase the understanding of alcohol and drug workers about LGBTIQ people, our communities, our needs and how to provide us with an inclusive and safe service.
