Drink Free Events During Sydney WorldPride
WorldPride will be a massive whirlwind of parties, events, and social celebrations; many of which will involve alcohol. But, there are still some great events on offer if you’re looking for an opportunity to celebrate pride and community, minus the drugs and booze!

MINUS18 Queer Formal Sydney

Description: Queer Formal is a dance party run by Minus18. Note that this event is for young people aged 12-19 only.
Sydney 2023 IGLFA Football World Championship

Description: LGBTQIA+ football tournament including domestic and international players and teams.
Stories Out West

Description: Stories Out West, an initiative of ACON, is a definitive anthology bringing together emerging and established writers who use the power of storytelling to share their experiences of being LGBTQIA+SB First Nations or LGBTQIA+ and culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse, with a connection to Western Sydney.
Pride March

Description: LGBTQ+ march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Tickets to the Pride March are now sold out, however, Sydney WorldPride is accepting applications to the wait list for this event.
Other Events
Additionally, there are a number of events during WorldPride that are not taking place in bars and clubs, or environments where drinking and drug use are not a central focus. This includes free community performances, stand-up comedy, art showings etc.

You may also like to check out the WorldPride Human Rights Conference, this is an immersive and fast-paced three-day exploration of LGBTQIA+ human rights. Additionally, the Queer Displacements conference will be running from the 22nd to the 23rd of Feb at Western Sydney Uni. Please note that at many of these events, there is a bar available.
